Hi, I’m Alexander
Rowan
Welcome to A Rowan Gallery, official home to the photographic artworks of Alexander Rowan.
‘The year 2026 marks the debut of nearly two decades of previously unreleased work, beginning with a special collection — River Abstracts, a recent project and my first exhibition. Additional exhibitions will follow including Tuscany To the Sea and Gateway to the Gods, alongside other standalone Limited Edition works that will be released in the months and years to come.
My life with a camera has taught me the transformative power of bearing witness to the ineffable beauty of our planet. In nature I found a bridge from a chaotic life to the quiet whisperings of my heart. These works are reflections of an outward and inward journey of my life as an international photographer.
Moving forward, my work will explore how photographic art can be used as a force for good in the world. Not only in preserving memories, legacies, and the natural heritage of our planet, but how art can spark the soul, and in coming age of AI, how it may stand as both path and reminder for what it means to be truly human.
If you would like advice about art, or wish to explore more comprehensive and unreleased collections of my work, please take my 1-minute art quiz so I can send you personal recommendations.

A stunning photograph of the total solar eclipse over North America in April, 2024. At the moment of total eclipse arcs of crimson red prominences become visible to the eye as flares thousands of miles tall rise off the surface of the sun, suspended by magnetic fields.
The Special Edition rendition of this iconic image is in the form of a triptych; a grouping of (3) dye-sublimated Chromaluxe metal prints mounted on a black tuxedo floating frame. The left and the right artworks are 12×36 inches, and the center artwork is 22×44. Depending on spacing between panels (1.5” recommended), the set commands a space of 44 × 48 (inches) on the wall.
